Proposal (Feinstein):  Hold a late January 2019 Green candidate workshop in Los Angeles, with a focus on Greens running in LA County in 2019 and 2020, tentattively on one of the last two Saturdays in January, 2019 with initial contact to existing Green Neighborhood Councilmembers soliciting their involvement.

11. Report: Update on GPLAC opposition to Final EIR for warehouse project at 4051 S. Alameda in Los Angeles on the former South Central Farm land (ten minutes)

Piera-Avila and Feinstein presented on recent successul efforts to appeal the Los Angeles Planning Commission's approval and on the campaign to persuade the owner to sell the land so that it can be converted back into an urban farm and food hub.


12. Decision: Bylaws Amendment Section 8-3 Nominations

Proposal (Feinstein, Bernstein, Piera-Avila) That Section 8-3 be amended from reading as thus:

8-3.1 Nominees must be registered Greens within the District they wish to represent, and must also gather as many signatures of registered Greens in the district on a petition as defined in 8.4, as would be normally required by the County Registrar to appear on the ballot in that district, for the purposes of being elected to the Los Angeles County Green Party County Council.

13. Decision: Various decisions regarding GPCA-GPLAC relations

Proposal (Feinstein): That the GPLAC’s SGA 2018-2019 delegates will remain the same as in 2017-2018, except Lisa Hsu is no longer a delegate and Melissa Guevara will take her place, and the County Council reserves the right to revisit this delegation during the 2018-2019 term.

Proposal (Feinstein): That the GPLAC authorize GPLAC co-coordinators Ajay Rai and Julia Russell to submit an agenda item to the GPCA by the September 24th deadline, addressing outstanding issues between the GPLAC and the GPCA, including use of the GPCA data base, the changing of the SGA voting page, the behavior of the GPCA male spokesperson.

Proposal (Russell): That the GPLAC organize and document the violations and conflict with GPCA Bylaws, protocols and practice and the actions necessary to address them and to and restore integrity and legitimacy of GPCA operations, and that this be included with the GPLAC's proposed agenda item for the GPCA November General Assembly.

Proposal (Russell): That as part of the GPLAC's proposed agenda item for the GPCA November General Assembly, that it state that the GPLAC is ready now to begin conversations now with Greens from other counties.
